
National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from 6th to 12th May to recognize and honor the dedication, hard work, and contributions of nurses worldwide. May 6th being the National Nurses Day and May 12th marking the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. This year’s theme, ‘The Power of Nurses’ highlights the significant impact of nurses on healthcare system. The National Nurses Week was first celebrated in 1944 and has been observed every year.
Bowen University Teaching Hospital Ogbomosho (BUTH) celebrates the National Nurses’ week from 6th to 12th May 2025 in recognition of the tireless efforts and dedication of our nursing staff.
